Going to NADMAS Indoor flying event.

By | February 6, 2022

NADMAS organise indoor flying events at local sport halls such as Newbury College or Trinity School, Newbury.

£10 per person, per event. Contactless payment is preferred, it saves committee member making a trip to the bank to pay money into NADMAS account.

Spectates are welcome and free.

Event organisers reserve the right not to permit unsuitable models to fly. Please only Indoor suitable, Fixed Wing, Helicopters & Multi-Rotors.

Categories 1. Light and slow   2. Helicopters and Drones  3. Heavier / Faster.

Split in to 10min flying slots.

The reason for the separation of categories hopefully is self-explanatory.

From time to time an individual may be asked to fly the type of model they are flying at that time in a more suitable category for type. It’s normally because if their model hit a light and slow model it would destroy it. and the same would be for a Drone / Helicopter flying in a fixed wing category.

The direction of flight very from clockwise (right hand circuit) to anti-clockwise (left hand circuit) during different flying slotted times. Normally the first-person model to tack off, Sets the direction of flight. But also, sometimes Event organisers can make the decision, which help to stop handicap direction flying developing.

NADMAS organise wants everybody to have an enjoyable day, trying to keep discipline and rules down to a minimum. To be honest this has greatly have been observed, over the years we’ve been running the event.

We welcome any ideas that can make the indoor event even more interesting. It’s preferred if all participant in the event can be located against the same side of the hall. There is normally plenty of space for everyone.

From time-to-time pilots will go out into the hall to retrieve their model after an incident. Please everybody be observed.
