Published a new article: Update on EASA regulations

By | June 25, 2017

Hi All

a long but simplified update of the proposed EASA regulations which could be affecting us very soon .

There is a mention of a possible requirement of “proof of competence to fly. “

At the moment the A certificate achievement is generally accepted as an indication of the pilots competence and hopefully it or something very close to it will be adopted to satisfy the requirement after the new regulations come into force.

For those of our members who currently fly without supervision but do not have an A certificate for that type or style of model, now is probably the time to actively work towards and then take, the A certificate, at leisure, before it becomes a pressurised necessity, please talk to Maurice Harney who can make arrangements for the test or coaching.
