Electric Models and Setting Up Electric Models on Buddy Box System

Hi All

Electric Models and Setting Up Electric Models on Buddy Box System

To improve safety and preventing accidental starting of your electric models prop or blades, a motor kill switch set up on your transmitter my help. I am not sure if this is possible on all transmitters. I know it’s only possible on the later Spektrum Transmitters.
Still on electric models. This is a WARNING to be aware of when setting up electric models on the buddy box system before going flying. We have had 3 occasions where the motor has started when switching from one transmitter to the other where the throttle on the non- controlling transmitter has been moved by accident or for some reason and then the change- over switch is released or operated. With electric models the motor and prop are live as soon as the battery is connected unless a motor kill switch is set. I am strongly recommending that electric models are restrained during the process of setting up the buddy system.  (I am 1 of the 3 that it has happened to).
