SUMMARY:NADMAS Simulator Training Session
DESCRIPTION:Last Monday of each month 19:30-21:30 \nFor anyone who has not yet tried it\, this a great way to share knowledge on getting the best out of RealFlight and develop flying skills in a safe environment. \nIf you are unable to get to the field for training\, this may well be of benefit to you for: \n\nPracticing ‘A’ test manoeuvres if you are preparing for the test or would like a refresher to keep your hand in.\n\n\nExperimenting with aerobatics.\n\n  \nA WhatsApp group called NADMAS Sim has been set up for members participating in the Simulator/Online Training sessions. \nThe purpose of this is to share information specifically relating to these sessions\, without clogging up the main NADMAS Flying group. \nNADMAS Sim can be used to raise/answer questions\, chat through any technical issues with accessing the online simulator or chat forum applications\, and to share ideas for the sessions. \nPlease confirm on the NADMAS Sim group by 14:00 the day before the session\, using an aircraft image\, if you wish to join for training. \nYou are welcome to attend for part of the session but you must pre-book. \nN.B. if you have not yet attended a session\, please also supply details of which version of RealFlight you are using e.g. 8.0\, 9.0\, 9.2\, 9.5 or Evolution etc. \n  \nIf you would like to join the NADMAS Sim group\, please email your request to: events@nadmas.org.uk \n  \nHere’s a reminder of how the sessions work: – \nEach participant will use their own RealFlight simulator software to log into a multiplayer simulator session \nand will also log into a Discord free online chat forum session to be able to talk to each other. \nThe idea is to learn from watching other people fly\, try things out under guidance\, share tips and knowledge and have some fun. \nDifferent flying skills can be chosen to focus on as a theme during a session\, e.g. inverted flying. \nIf there is something you would like to master or improve\, please let us know what you would find useful. \nJack will lead the sessions and attached are some guidelines he put together for simulator set up and chat forum. \nThe structure and content of each session will be an evolving process and we welcome your feedback and suggestions. Thank you to those who have already contributed. \nGUIDELINES \nNADMAS online sim evening \nHere is a quick start up manual for those that haven‘t used multiplayer before. \nSetting up minimum field of view \n\n“settings” – “simulation” – “camera” – “all cameras” – “minimum field of view”\nMy setting for this is 80.\nThis stops the sim from zooming in on the model and aims to keep the ground in view\, as you’d see at the flying field.\n\nInstructions for Multiplayer \n\nLoad up RealFlight\, click on “Multiplayer” – “Join Multiplayer session”. If you’re using RF evolution\, pressing “esc” bring up the menu.\nThe session name is “NADMAS” and the password will be “newburytest”. This will be pinned on discord also.\n\nWatching people fly in multiplayer \n\nPressing “number 6” on the keyboard brings up the players in the session menu\, there’s an eye on the left side of the names. Clicking the eye on the person you’d like to watch makes the screen focus on them.\nTo go back to flying for yourself\, just click the eye next to your name again.\nIf you have the transmitter on screen\, the person you’re watching’s inputs will also show.\n\nJoining discord \n\nA discord server to join for these evenings has been set up\, the invitation link will be sent out to NADMAS Sim group and will start like this: https://discord\n2 voice channels have been set up\, one for the people that are in the session flying and the other is for general chit chat like a group call.\nThere are various text channels for questions\, help\, sim settings etc.\nYou can download discord on either your smart phone or computer.\nDiscord is free to sign up\, takes only a couple minutes to create an account and join the server with the link.

It is a place that always pleased me” \nBenjamin Disraeli\, Prime Minister – 8th June 1878 \n  \nWhat makes the Weston Park show special is the combination of an exceptional trade line-up\, the best pilots and models around\, a unique\, friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by the organisers to ensure there’s something special for families and modellers alike. \n  \nThe show is the brainchild of Steven Bishop\, a man of worldwide modelling acclaim.
